Marshall-Harrison County Health District will be on-hand during the afternoon session of Marshall ISD’s Pre-K Round Up on Wednesday, April 10, from 12 noon until 7:00 p.m. MHCHD will offer children’s vaccines for those who qualify for the Texas Vaccines for Children program.
Marshall-Harrison County Health District provides immunizations for children through the Texas Vaccines for Children program. Children must meet at least one of the following requirements for participation in the program:
- Eligible for participation in the Medicaid program
- American Indian or Alaska Native (As defined by 25 U.S.C. 1603)
- Uninsured Children: Children who do not have health insurance
- Underinsured: Children who have commercial (private) health insurance, but
- Coverage does not include vaccines; or
- Covers only selected vaccines (TVFC-eligible for non-covered vaccines only); or
- Health insurance covers all vaccines, but the plan has a fixed dollar limit or cap on the amount that it will cover for vaccines (TVFC-eligible once a fixed dollar amount or cap is reached).
- Enrolled in the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) (not available at our office)
