Summary: The Certified Medical Assistant will assist in the safe and caring delivery of patient care in an outpatient setting. The Certified Medical Assistant will communicate in an effective manner and demonstrate professionalism with each patient and guest. Responsibilities: General duties include, but are not limited to, the following: · Performs administrative duties including answering phones, checking in and preparing patients for examination, scheduling tests, treatments and referrals · Performs selected clinical duties including collecting urine and/or blood samples for testing and administering injections · Maintains patient files, records, and other information in a professional manner following policy and procedures regarding documentation · Orders and maintains clinical and office supplies and equipment as necessary · Uses oral and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas in a clear, positive manner that is consistent with the organization’s mission · Maintains patient confidentiality in all encounters · Performs other related work as assigned Job Requirements: · High school diploma or GED · Graduate from an Accredited Program for Medical Assistants and have a certification for medical assisting is required · Previous medical office experience preferred Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $12.00 per hour Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week Benefits: Medical Specialty: Schedule: Work Location: In person
